Engineering Learning Assistants Program

Spring 2023 CHE LA Courses:

CHE 2310- Intro Chemical Process 

CHE 3232- Chemical Engineering Transport Laboratory 

CHE 3315- Fluid Mechanics

The Learning Assistants (LAs) Program has now expanded to Engineering!  LAs will be in the engineering classroom helping students navigate various topics.  We are looking for LAs that are majoring in Chemical Engineering and have successfully earned an A or B in the course they are applying for and are interested in helping other students succeed.  

To be a Learning Assistant students should be available to attend one of the following section.  LAs should not register for the course, however:

CHE 2310 - Face to Face - Dr. Glenn Zeng: M/W/F 11:00 pm - 11:50 am

CHE 3232- Face to Face- Dr. Chijuan Hu: M-F (Days subject to change)2:00-5:50 pm 

CHE 3315- Face to Face- Dr. Jeremy Marston: M/W/F 1:00-1:50 pm 

Spring 2023 PETR LA Courses

PETR 3301- Reservoir Engineering I

The Learning Assistants (LAs) Program has now expanded to Petroleum Engineering!  LAs will be in the engineering classroom helping students navigate various topics.  We are looking for LAs that are majoring in Petroleum Engineering and have successfully earned an A or B in PETR 3302 and are interested in helping other students succeed.  

To be a Learning Assistant students should be available to attend one of the following section.  LAs should not register for the course, however:

PETR 3302 - Face to Face - Dr. Talal Gamadi: M/W 1:00 pm - 2:20 pm

We are looking for students who:

  • Are STEM Majors
  • Enjoy interacting and learning with fellow students
  • Have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above (preferred)
  • Earned an A or B in the courses described above
