I am the Senior Math Instructor for TSI and College Readiness. One of my favorite things about my position is working with the students. I love getting them to open up and start asking questions. I love witnessing when they begin to understand!

I received a B.A. in mathematics from Texas Tech University and my M. Ed., in Teaching and Learning from Sam Houston State.

I love sitting in my back yard, with a breeze and fire going in the fire pit. No mosquitos to be found and good music and friends around. Patio time is the best.

Ask me about:

If you could be an animal for a day, what would you be and why?

I would love to be an Octopus; I love the ocean. I would love to see the world from a different point of view. Octopuses are very smart and have an ability to live on both the land for a short time and in the sea.

What is your most frequently used or favorite emoji?

The dancing lady! 💃

What is your social-emotional learning superpower?

Hugs! I love to give hugs; I think the best medicine for anything is hugs. It may not fix a problem but it can make you feel more able to handle it!

I love learning. Finding out new and interesting information is very gratifying for me. It makes me also really enjoy sharing a love of learning with others.

What is the best school project or lesson you can remember?

Working on science fair projects with my kiddos. We made a cell cake one year. Another year we figured out how baby chickens' breath in their shell.
