Latest issue of CASNR’s ‘The Agriculturist’ available in print, online

The latest issue of Texas Tech’s Department of Agricultural Education and Communications award-winning magazine, The Agriculturist, is off the press and online. The 46-page, student-led magazine’s cover story, Large Dreams for Large Animals by Jenna Holt-Day, focuses on Tech’s plans to develop a veterinary school and veterinary medicine doctoral program in response to student demand and industry needs.  more »

Texas Tech Scholarship Office announces seven Terry Scholars from CASNR

Seven students from Texas Tech’s College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources have been chosen to receive prestigious Terry Foundation Scholarships, university officials announced today (May 17). After an intensive selection process of more than 1,000 students, the foundation provides four-year scholarships to high school seniors who have demonstrated exception leadership, character, financial need and scholastic ability.  more »

Texas Tech’s College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources marked its annual celebration of sustainability and community this week, with its annual Arbor Day event Friday (Apr. 29). Texas State marker highlights long history of Texas Tech’s iconic Dairy Barn

Lubbock County’s Historical Commission and the Student Government Association of Texas Tech unveiled a new Texas State Historical Marker in ceremonies on Thursday (April 28) honoring Tech’s Dairy Barn, one of the university’s original structures. Built in an L-shaped configuration, the agricultural complex includes a free-standing grain silo to the west of the main wing.  more »
