Thirty-one CASNR students honored as Dean’s Scholars Award winners at ICC

Top academic standouts from Texas Tech’s College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources will be recognized as Dean’s Scholars on Tuesday (Mar. 10) at a special ceremony held in the International Cultural Center’s Hall of Nations. The agricultural communications undergraduate program offered by Texas Tech University’s Department of Agricultural Education and Communications is ranked as the best in the nation, according to a new University of Arkansas study. Texas Tech’s College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources hosted a Spring Career Expo on Thursday (Feb. 5) in the university’s newly renovated Red Raider Ballroom of Tech’s Student Union Building. This year’s expo featured company representatives from some 25 businesses who were on hand to meet and schedule CASNR students for potential interviews. Among the ag leaders were Cactus Feeders, Capital Farm Credit, Cargill, and Texas Parks and Wildlife.  more »
