Texas Tech set to host Curriculum for Agricultural Science Education event

During June more than 35 high school instructors from across the nation will be on the Texas Tech campus for a special agricultural science education course. The focus is on providing a high-level educational experience to enhance the rigor and relevance of agriculture, food, and natural resources subject matter, say officials of Tech’s Department of Agricultural Education and Communications, who are hosting the academic event from June 16-26.  more »

A graduate student with Texas Tech’s Department of Agricultural Education and Communications is among the first inaugural recipients of the Doctoral Dissertation Completion Fellowship Program in the Texas Tech University Graduate School. Feature-length Film; AEC graduate Brad Bellah stars in agricultural documentary

A 2009 graduate of Texas Tech University’s College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources is featured this summer is a new documentary film that focuses on current agriculture issues. Brad Bellah, an agricultural communications major and sixth generation cattle rancher, runs beef cattle operations in Texas and Colorado, including a natural beef herd. The 26-year-old from Throckmorton is also a husband and father of twins.  more »

Ten students from Texas Tech’s College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources were on hand for this year’s Latinos in Agriculture Leaders Conference in San Antonio.
