Saddle Up: Texas Tech riders win at 60th Annual Rodeo

Erica Creswell and Luke Creasy of Texas Tech University were awarded championship titles on Oct. 17 during the 60th consecutive NIRA rodeo. Creswell, a senior from Weatherford, received the all-around champion cowgirl title after competing against more than 200 female contestants in the final rodeo competition.  more »

Texas Tech University’s rodeo teams launched their fall season last week with a striking women’s team victory at the Eastern New Mexico University Rodeo in Portales. Tech AEC junior Logan Allen shines at Big Spring Rodeo

Texas Tech University junior Logan Allen wrapped up all-around cowboy honors as he led the Red Raiders to a positive showing April 16-18 at the Howard College Rodeo in Big Spring. The Tech men’s team finished the event in the sixth place, while the women placed seventh among the 16 competing schools.  more »

Texas Tech University junior Erica Creswell won the best all-around cowgirl title April 4 at the Western Texas College Rodeo in Snyder, while the rest of the Tech team continued to improve their rankings as the Southwest Regions National Collegiate Rodeo Association championship approaches at the end of the month.  more »
