A select group of Texas Tech agricultural communications students participated in a week-long trip to Washington, D.C., last month. Led by AEC Assistant Professor Courtney Meyers, the program focused on the nation's history, agricultural policy, and meetings with a dozen agricultural organizations. Attendees included Alexa Borowski, Jacy Bradford, Danielle Dobson, MacKenzie Fletcher, Kimber Hardie, Taylor Hicklen, Kelsey Jones, Kymbre Kupatt, William Nelson, Danielle White and Sadie Shaw.
The Texas Alliance for Water Conservation, a research project made up of producers, industries, universities, and government agencies, has received the American Water Resources Association's 'Integrated Water Resources Management Award.' The award will be presented at the group's annual conference in November in Portland.
