Students pursuing the Healthcare Engineering degree option are required to take 3 hours of research where they will address challenges facing the healthcare industry and stretch the frontiers of current technology. Possible research areas include the following:

Students will be guided and assisted to explore research opportunities with hospitals, clinics, nursing homes, diagnostic laboratories, medical device manufacturers, medical service providers, pharmacies, and other components of the healthcare system.
