Staff Responsibilities

Legako will be focused on the advancement, satisfaction and overall success of Davis College current students to meet personal, professional and academic goals during their time at Texas Tech. She will coordinate all student retention activities, such as Ag Fest, Davis College Government Internship Program, Red Raider Extravaganza, Davis College Learning Community stakeholder, Early Alert Program, Who's Who, Red Raider Orientation, Popcorn Pop-Ins, Winter Welcome, as well as Davis College's monthly student and faculty newsletters. In addition, Legako will be the contact for assisting students in finding university resources, internships, and career opportunities. She will also serve as the advisor for the Ambassadors for Agriculture, an agricultural advocacy student organization. A licensed marriage and family therapist, she received her bachelor's in psychology from Texas Tech and master's degree in human development and family science from Oklahoma State University. Prior to joining Tech, she served as a therapist at Blomquist Hale Employee Assistance in Logan, Utah; and lead therapist at Capstone Counseling in Logan, Utah.

Did You Know?

The Dr. Bill Bennett Student Success Center is named for long-time member of the Department of Plant and Soil Science's emeritus faculty Bill Bennett. Bennett, who served as Davis College's interim dean during the late 1970s, spearheaded the creation of the college's Ambassadors for Agriculture and Agri-Techsans programs.
