Nick grew up in Plano, Texas, where he developed a passion for animals and gardening, eventually participating in his high school's FFA program. After starting as an Environmental Engineering major at Texas Tech, he shifted to horticulture, conducting research on soil interactions and serving as president of the community garden.
Currently pursuing a master's in Soil Conservation, he is involved with the Lubbock Memorial Arboretum and is developing an erosion control product with Texas Tech Innovation Hub.
