Calvin Hamilton of Flower Mound, Texas received a bachelor's degree in animal business (1977) and a master’s degree in animal nutrition with a concentration in swine nutrition (1979) from Texas Tech. After receiving his doctorate from the University of Missouri, he went on to become an Extension Swine Specialist, and an Assistant and Associate Professor at South Dakota State University. In 1996, Hamilton joined Darling International, Inc., as Director of Research and Development, going on to become Director of Government Affairs & Related Technology and Vice President of Government Affairs, Related Technology & Biosecurity for Darling Ingredients, Inc. He now leads the Quality Assurance & Product Safety Team, and is a member of Darling’s Sustainability Committee. Hamilton is a founding member of the Clarity & Leadership for Environmental Awareness and Research Center at the University of California-Davis, and a member of the Board of Directors for the American Feed Ingredient Association.
