Name: Maeley Herring
Major: Agricultural Communications
Classification: Sophomore
Hometown: Archer City, Texas
Extracurricular Activities: Member of Agricultural Communicators of Tomorrow; Volunteer at National Ranching
Heritage Center; Welcome Team at Southcrest Baptist Church; Intern for the Texas Techsan
magazine
Hobbies: I love to show and fit cattle, sing in my church, and even Bible journal in my spare
time.
Plans After College: I am hoping to start my own business with a goal to help agriculturalists advertise
and market their products and services. I want to use my skills in website design,
branding, journalism, graphic design, and photography to boost client's image to the
public.
Favorite Thing About Davis College/TTU: My favorite thing about TTU and Davis College, more specifically, is the feeling
of community. I have always felt welcome and encouraged throughout out my experiences
at Tech. Every professor and administrator within Davis College has a passion for
their students' success during and after college, and they go above and beyond to
help their students succeed in their goals.
Advice for Future Students: My biggest piece of advice to future students would be to get involved with organizations
within Davis College and TTU. Your ability to enjoy college will increase through
these experiences as you meet new people and learn new things. These organizations
will also help ease the transition from high school to college by surrounding you
with like-minded students.
