Dudley and Patty Montgomery Endowed Scholarshipion Mayes Memorial Endowed Scholarship
The Dudley and Patty Montgomery Scholarship Endowment was established by Dudley and
Patty Montgomery in 2013. The scholarship is awarded to undergraduate students of
any classification in the Department of Agricultural and Applied Economics.
Dudley graduated from the Department of Agricultural and Applied Economics in 1952.
He participated in various organizations while at Texas Tech University, including:
Air Force ROTC, Student Senate, Arnold Air Society, Agricultural Economics Association,
and Agronomy Club. Dudley was employed by Security State Bank of Pecos for many years
where he served as CEO and President. He is married to Patty Montgomery and they have
three daughters, Cecile, Cynthia, and Amy, who graduated from Texas Tech University
in 1988 with a degree in Secondary Education.
