The Mary Lou Flow Scholarship Endowment was established by an anonymous foundation in 2013. The scholarship is awarded to students in the Department of Agricultural Education and Communications.

May Lou Flom began her career at Texas Tech in 1972 working in the Registrar’s Office for four years before working in the Business Office. In 1978, she then relocated to her current position in the Department of Agricultural Education and Communications as the Administrative Business Assistant. In her time in the department, she has received various awards including the Top Techsan Award, the Davis College Staff Award, the Outstanding Achieving Award, the Superior Achieving Award, Honorary Farmer of Collegiate FFA, and Honorary Member of the Agricultural Education and Communications Alumni Association. Mrs. Flom is married to Michael Flom and has two children and three grandchildren.
