Block and Bridle Scholarship

The Block and Bridle Scholarship was established in 1947 by the 1947 Block and Bridle Club, to provide scholarships to senior or graduate animal science majors with a 3.0 GPA or higher.

The Block and Bridle Club at Texas Tech University was created to promote agriculture and provide a better understanding of the diversified livestock industry around West Texas and the World. Today, they participate in and host various activities in the college and the university, including: Little International Showmanship Contest, Animal Science Banquet, Ranching Heritage Day, Relay for Life, National Brock and Bridle Convention, intramural sports, and other social and community service events.
