The Andrew and Karen Guerra Scholarship Endowment was established in 2013 by Andrew
and Karen Guerra to provide scholarships to master's student(s) enrolled in the Davis
College of Agricultural Sciences & Natural Resources within the Department of Animal
and Food Sciences with a preference to students who are majoring in Meat Science.
Andrew Guerra received his Master of Science in Meat Science from Texas Tech University
in 1992, and has continually worked in the food industry. He is currently serving
as the President and CEO of Destination Foods Group in San Antonio, TX. The company
specializes in helping high protein product companies find spots in retail grocery
stores.
