Clem Kuehler Memorial Endowed Scholarship

The Clem Kuehler Memorial Scholarship Endowment was established in 1999 by family and friends of Clem Kuehler to provide scholarships to graduate and undergraduate students majoring in Food Technology with a preference given to students with 60 semester credits or more.

Clem Kuehler was a 20-year resident of Irving, TX who died in a tragic car accident in January 1999. He grew up in Morton, TX where his family farmed before attending Texas Tech University. He received a Bachelor of Science in Dairy Management in 1968. He then continued on to receive his Ph.D. in Food Technology from Michigan State University before becoming employed by Frito Lay. He married Lynne Freeland, also of Morton, TX, and they resided in Irving throughout the majority of Clem"s 22-year career at Frito Lay. They had recently moved to Pilot Point, TX where they had purchased some land and cattle. Lynne also graduated from Texas Tech University with a degree in Elementary Education. She currently resides in Granbury, TX.
