The Don Bell Scholarship in Agriculture was established by Mr. and Mrs. Don Bell in
2004. These scholarships are awarded to students majoring in the Davis College of
Agricultural Sciences & Natural Resources from the West Texas area.
Mr. Don Bell graduated from Texas Tech University in 1959 with a Bachelor of Science
in Animal Production. He has farmed in the Wolfforth area for many years and is on
the Board of Directors at American Bank of Commerce. Betty Bell also graduated from
Texas Tech University in 1959 with a degree interior design. They had two daughters,
Donna and Dana. Donna graduated from Texas Tech University in 1985 with a Bachelor
of Science in Home Economics Education and received a master's degree in Human Development
and Family Studies in 1991. Dana graduated from Texas Tech University in 1988 with
a Bachelor of Science in Family Finance Planning and graduated from Texas Tech University
School of Law in 1991.
