Nathan and Carolyn Boardman Scholarship Endowment was established by Nathan and Carolyn
Boardman in 2011. These scholarships are available to students enrolled in the Davis
College of Agricultural Sciences & Natural Resources.
Nathan Boardman graduated from Texas A&M University in 1956 with a degree in agricultural
education. He served as CEO and a major stockholder of Crosbyton Seed Company in Crosbyton,
TX. In 1972, Crosbyton Seed Company was formed, and at peak, achieved providing thirty
to thirty-five percent of the annual grain sorghum seed acreage planted by US farmers.
Previously he was an assistant agriculture extension agent in Lubbock County and had
worked for a chemical sales company. He is part of the College of Agriculture Development
Council at Texas A&M University and has made various donations to Texas Tech University.
He and his wife Carolyn have two daughters- Lisa and Jana.
