Buster’s Gin Endowed Scholarship in honor of Dan and Linda Taylor

Buster's Gin Scholarship Endowment in honor of Dan and Linda Taylor was established by Buster's Gin in 2009.These scholarships will benefit students enrolled within the Davis College of Agricultural Sciences & Natural Resources.

Dan Taylor graduated from Texas Tech University in 1964 with a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Education. In 1968, he graduated with a Master of Education in Agricultural Education. His wife, Linda, received a Bachelor of Business Administration and Master of Science in Business Administration from Texas Tech University in 1965 and 1969, respectively. Dan received the Outstanding Agriculturalist in 2003 and Distinguished Alumni and Young Alumnus in 1998 both from the Davis College of Agricultural Sciences & Natural Resources. Linda received the Outstanding Agriculturalist in 2014 from the Davis College of Agricultural Sciences & Natural Resources. Dan and Linda are former members of Chancellor's Council and Dan is a current member of the Davis College of Agricultural Sciences & Natural Resources Advisory Board. While students at Texas Tech University, Dan participated in Block and Bridle and Collegiate FFA, and Linda participated in Pi Omega Pi and Rodeo Association. Dan and Patricia have three grown children: Davon, who is a Former Student of Texas Tech University, DeLinda, who received a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Education from Texas Tech University in 1989, and Darrell, who received a Bachelor of Science in Food Technology from Texas Tech University in 1992.

Dan and Linda officially retired after selling Buster's Gin in 2009. They own and run DLT Enterprises, Inc. on a part-time basis. Dan serves on the Board for Texas FFA Foundation, President of the Board of the American Museum of Agriculture, and Board Member of the Hockley County Stock Show. Dan is a former Board Member of the Lubbock Chamber of Commerce, former President of Ropes Lions Club, and former Director of the Wolfforth Chamber of Commerce. In October 2010 he received an Honorary American FFA Degree. Dan and Linda reside in Ropesville, TX.
