Elaine Wilson Memorial Endowed Scholarship

Elaine Wilson

The Elaine Wilson Memorial Scholarship Endowment was established in 2019 by the Texas Seed Trade Association Foundation to support students enrolled in the Davis College of Agricultural Sciences & Natural Resources.

Elaine Wilson, 48, of Lubbock entered eternal rest Sunday, May 21, 2017. Wayne and Virgie Arnold welcomed Elaine into this world in 1968 in Alamogordo, New Mexico, as their only child. She graduated Plainview High School in 1987. Following high school, she studied Medical Transcription at ACC, where she graduated in 1993. She married the love of her life, Jeff M. Wilson, and they shared a deep love and friendship for 23 years.

Elaine was known for her ease in frequent conversation with friends, neighbors, and even strangers. She possessed a contagious and an entertaining sense of humor. Throughout her life, she maintained a vivacious and relaxed demeanor that won the friendship and hearts of many and a deep, personal relationship with her Savior, Jesus Christ. Her signature gift of joy, shown through her constant smiling, laughter, and light-heartedness, and unwavering love for God will never be forgotten.

She is survived by her husband, Jeff M. Wilson, former president of the Texas Seed Trade Association; three children, J.P. and wife Richelle Wilson, Keylee and husband Aaron Slough, and Katherine; her father, Wayne Arnold; sisters-in-law, Shellie and husband Tony Snook and Jamie and husband Joe Lara; and four grandchildren, Harper, Holden, Ellis and Hayden.
