The James E. and Sue Ellen Fewell Scholarship Endowment was established by James E.
and Sue Ellen Fewell in 2013. The scholarship is awarded to undergraduate students
enrolled in the Department of Natural Resources Management and are majoring in Wildlife
Management with a minimum 3.0 GPA. This scholarship is renewable up to four consecutive
years.
James Fewell graduated from Texas Tech University in 1961 with a Bachelor of Science
in Animal Production. As he has worked on his ranch over the years, he has grown to
admire wildlife and natural resource conservation. This scholarship was established
to help assist students who have similar interests and are interested in conservation.
Sue Ellen Fewell passed away in April 2017 after a tough battle with cancer.
