The Buffalo Gap Wine and Food Summit Scholarship was established by the Buffalo Gap
Wine and Food Summit in 2011. The purpose of these funds are to support undergraduate
and graduate scholarships available to students studying viticulture and enology within
the Department of Plant and Soil Science.
The Buffalo Gap Wine and Food Summit is held annually on the second weekend of April
in Buffalo Gap, TX, just southwest of Abilene. The mission of the organization is
to cultivate the appreciation of fine wine and food through education and industry
discussion by hosting educational sessions, regional wine industry discussions, and
special events.
