Specially prepared bonsais are on sale this holiday season by the College of Agricultural
Sciences and Natural Resources' innovative study abroad class, "Gardens of France,
Luxembourg, and Belgium." The next overseas trip for the group class is scheduled for
May 2008.
Officials said prices range from $15 to $35, and can be picked up at the Horticulture
Gardens and Greenhouse Complex on Dec. 10 from 8 a.m. to 4:30 pm. Payment is by cash
and check only.
Those interested in purchasing a bonsai can reserve a plant, but the individuals will
have to select the type of plant they prefer. There is no way to reserve an individual
specimen.
Bonsai is the art of aesthetic miniaturization of trees by growing them in containers.
