Texas International Cotton School set for Aug. 11-22
Domestic and international participants in the cotton and textile industry across the globe can now start planning for the next Texas International Cotton School, which officials said will be held August 11-22 at Texas Tech University's International Textile Center in Lubbock.
Conducted at the International Textile Center and hosted by the Lubbock Cotton Exchange, the school provides hands-on instruction in cotton breeding, production, harvesting, ginning, classing, testing, processing, transporting, marketing, exporting and logistics.
Intensive Sessions. According to officials, the program offers students an integrated, vertical understanding of the U.S. Cotton Industry and its interactions with the ever-changing global cotton/textile complex.
More than 400 students, managers, merchants and textile workers from 54 countries have joined top cotton, commodity and textile experts in 27 past meetings for the intensive two-week sessions of the Texas International Cotton School.
