Above Par: CASNR Student Services at wheel of new ride
In an effort to better accommodate on-campus tours for guests and prospective students, Texas Tech University's College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources has added a jumbo-sized golf cart to meet its growing need.
This semester CASNR reached a benchmark in student enrollment with a near record number of students signed up for classes in the fall semester, university officials report. Final enrollment stood at 1,685, up 8.8 percent from last fall's 1,548.
Six-Person Club Car. The new ride is a 2009 six-person Villager Club Car customized with a white, red and black color accents to match the college's Ford Expedition. The cart features red-and-black seats, the university's "Double T," and the college's coat of arms.
The club car's primary purpose is for the Student Services Center to escort prospective students and their families during campus visits. CASNR dean's office and the college's development and external relations office will also employ the Club Car to escort other visitors around campus, as well.
