Graduation Gala; CASNR students honored during summer commencement
More than 1,400 Texas Tech students, including 32 from the College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources, received diplomas at the university's commencement ceremonies Saturday (Aug. 6) at the United Spirit Arena in Lubbock.
During the event, outstanding students carried banners representing their respective colleges. Katherine Schlosser, an agricultural communications major from Plano, represented CASNR. Administrators selected the banner bearers based on all-around achievement.

Commencement speaker for the morning program was Bernard Mittemeyer, once the Surgeon General of the U.S. Army and former executive vice president and interim president of the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center.
