Phi Kappa Phi honorary society adds 23 CASNR standouts in campus ceremony
Almost two dozen of Texas Tech's College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources best and brightest were inducted into Phi Kappa Phi, one of the nation's oldest, largest, and most selective collegiate honor societies, today (Apr. 9) at the Allen Theater on the university campus.
"This group really showcases the exemplary student body we have," said Cindy Akers, CASNR's Associate Dean of Academic and Student Programs. "We're proud of their hard work and the recognition they bring to the college."
To be eligible, the undergraduate students must have completed at least 72 credit hours and rank scholastically in the top 7.5 percent of their class. The Tech chapter is one of about 300 in the nation. Since its establishment in 1897, Phi Kappa Phi has received more than 1 million members into its ranks.

- Theresa Graf, a senior agricultural communications major from Momence, IL
- Emily Green, a junior pre-veterinarian major from Kilgore
- Emily Henry, a senior agricultural and applied economics major from Crowell
- Zachariah Hurley, a senior agricultural and applied economics major from Lubbock
- Emily Jackson, a senior animal science major from Waco
- Kelsey Jones, a senior agricultural communications major from Garden City
- Angela Knicker, a senior agricultural communications major from Aubrey
- Bryson Matthews, a senior agricultural and applied economics major from Anton
- M'Kenzie Patton, a senior animal science major from Stamford
