Outside-the-Box; NAADA achievement award honors CASNR's Jane Piercy

The director of development and external relations for Texas Tech's College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources today (Jun. 18) was presented a National Agricultural Alumni and Development Association's Monumental Achievement Award. Jane Piercy received the honor at the group's national conference in Washington, D.C.
"Jane is a terrific supporter of all things Texas Tech, and a great representative and tireless worker for the college," said CASNR Dean Michael Galyean. "We're so proud that her good work has been recognized by NAADA with this prestigious award."
Program officials noted that the association's monumental achievement award honors programs and events, "created by outside-the-box thinkers who have left a permanent, positive impression on their campus or community by shaping the future, facing the challenges and leading the change."
Prior to joining the CASNR staff in 2008, Piercy served as director of development for the Texas Tech library and earlier president of Association of Fund-Raising Professionals. She was also executive director of the Court Appointed Special Advocates of the South Plains, Inc. and earlier served as victim/witness coordinator with the Lubbock County Criminal District Attorney's Office.
The Texline native received her bachelor's degree in psychology from Texas Tech. Today, the staff of CASNR's Development and External Relations office includes Becky Bram, Coordinator of College Development; Tracee Murph, Coordinator of Alumni Relations; and Zachary Pena, Senior Business Assistant.
According to program officials, the National Agricultural Alumni and Development Association has more than 350 professionals from around the country, and is dedicated to providing enhancement opportunities for advancement professionals in institutions of higher education in agricultural sciences and related programs.
