With a passion for wildlife, David Underwood, a junior natural resource management student in Texas Tech University's College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources was selected as the Aggie of the Month during the December student Agricultural Council meeting. The Dimmitt native represents the Range, Wildlife and Fisheries Management student organization within the Department of Natural Resources Management. Underwood said he came to Tech following his father's footsteps. "My father went to Texas Tech and believed they have a great Wildlife Department," Underwood said. Underwood said the greatest thing about CASNR is that no matter how different everyone is, they treat each other like family. He said he is an honor to have been selected as the December Aggie of the Month. "I've been coming to Ag Council meeting since I was a freshman and have worked hard within all of my CASNR organizations," Underwood said. "So it was good be recognized by my peers for my involvement." In the future, Underwood said he hopes to obtain a job at a deer ranch, and eventually begin his own deer-breeding ranch.
