Elanco Animal Health
Elanco offers internships in key areas such as sales, marketing, or research and development. All interns are responsible for a specific project to be completed within a 12-week period. Interns work closely with assigned mentors, but specific projects can be tailored to meet the interests of each student. All interns present their projects to Elanco management and employees at the end of their internship.
Sales and marketing interns could work in a Food Animal business unit (beef and dairy cattle, swine, or poultry), global marketing, or companion animal health to focus on increasing the demand for Elanco products and services. We seek undergraduates majoring in animal science, agribusiness, agricultural economics, and agricultural education, or mba candidates.
Sales internships are based at various locations across the United States and involve daily travel by car. Interns work closely with sales representatives, interacting on a daily basis with current and prospective customers, including livestock producers, veterinarians and nutritionists. Previous sales interns have:- Sold products to a focused segment of the market
- Screened a market segment to determine sales potential
- Analysis of market potential for a proposed product
- Development of new communication channels for the marketplace
- Market analysis to optimize sales force location and number
