Malcom R. Hester Memorial Lectureship Endowment
The Malcom R. Hester Memorial Lectureship Endowment was established by Alice Hester in 2003. Malcolm R. Hester, born August 30, 1956, in Amarillo, TX, died May 9, 2002, in San Antonio. Malcolm was a skillful leader and gifted landscape architect. He earned a BLA from Texas Tech University and a Masters of Landscape Architecture from the Harvard University Graduate School of Design. Malcolm married Alice Althaus on September 2, 1978. He will be missed by many, many people whose lives he touched. This endowment in his honor is to be used for guest lecturer honorariums, travel expenses, and any other expenses associated with securing and facilitating guest lecturers in the Department of Landscape Architecture.
