Chromatin Agriculture Research Technicians (Summer 2014)
Description- Involves planting, maintenance, cross-pollinating, self-pollinating of sorghum plants in breeding nurseries
- Preparation of seed samples
- Note taking for plant traits
- Harvesting and threshing of bagged plants
- Supervision of casual employees during peak periods
- Prior agriculture experience not a requirement
- Highly motivated with ability to work independently
- Diligent and particular even with repetitive routine jobs
- Clean driving record-minimum of 2 years driving experience
- Detail oriented with the ability to organize and prioritize daily tasks
- Ability to work in hot dusty field conditions for prolonged periods of time
- Able to multi-task and work under very strict deadlines
- Availability to work 40+ hours and Saturdays during peak season
- No Summer School
