Thirty standout students recognized as CASNR Dean's Scholars Award winners
Top academic standouts from Texas Tech's College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources have been recognized as Dean's Scholars today (May 1). The awards, funded by various donations to the college, are based on academic excellence as well as leadership, character and citizenship.
"These scholarships were established by the college to reward academic excellence and to support studious young men and women who choose to major in agricultural and natural sciences," said Michael Galyean, dean of the College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources.
There are two separate awards, he added. The Gold Award is a $14,400 four-year scholarship and the Silver Award is a $9,600 four-year scholarship. To keep the scholarship, recipients must maintain a 3.5 grade-point average for Gold Awards and a 3.3 grade-point average for Silver Awards.

- Sadie Dierschke, a senior food science major from San Angelo
- Jacob Gresham, a junior pre-vet major from Lubbock
- Autumn Ritchey, a senior pre-vet major from Houston
- Dakotah Watson, a junior animal science major Ralls
- Treyson Antonick, a senior pre-vet major from Overton
- Alexandra Borowski, a senior agricultural communications major from Lincoln, NM
- Jessica Corder, a junior agricultural communications major from Lubbock
- Sydney Denny, a junior food science major from Colorado Springs, Colo.
- Steven Ebeling, a senior animal science major from Plainview
- Darby Gonzales, a sophomore animal science major from Hondo
- Tayler Green, a senior agricultural and applied economics major from Ropesville
- Amy Gulick, a senior animal science major from Lubbock
- Christopher Gulick, a junior natural resource management major from Lubbock
- Jenna Hay, a junior natural resource management major from North Richland Hills
