CASNR students named to Who's Who Among Students in American Universities
Seventeen outstanding students from Texas Tech University's College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources have been included in latest edition of "Who's Who Among Students in American Colleges and Universities," according to school officials.
"Selection to Who's Who at Texas Tech University is a one-time honor awarded annually," said CassiDe Street, CASNR's Coordinator of Student Retention. "It honors students who've demonstrated outstanding accomplishments in the areas of scholarship, academic achievement, campus leadership, and community service."
To be considered, Street said, students must have senior status with 90 total earned semester hours prior to the fall semester 2015, at least 30 semester hours completed at Texas Tech, and a minimum 3.0 grade point average. Among the CASNR students inducted were:

"Who's Who" has been published since 1934, and includes students from more than 2,300 institutions of higher learning in all 50 states, the District of Columbia and several foreign nations.
This year, a total of 120 Tech students from across the university were acknowledged, and presented an award certificate, recognition before their academic dean, honor in the LaVentana and Who's Who yearbooks, and the opportunity to apply for scholarships through Who's Who, said Amy Bafford, associate director with Tech's University Career Center. In addition, the university hosted a special recognition reception for the recipients in November at the McKenzie-Merket Alumni Center.
