Kickstart your job journey; CASNR Spring Career Expo set for Feb. 24
Texas Tech's College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources will host a Spring Career Expo from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Wednesday (Feb. 24) in the Red Raider Ballroom of Tech's Student Union Building. This year program leaders expect more than 20 company representatives from businesses eager to meet and schedule CASNR students for potential interviews.
Noting the challenging economic times, officials with Texas Tech University Career Services strongly encouraged students seeking jobs to bring updated resumes and to dress professionally.
Tech's Career Services views a student's career development as a part of the student's overall college and life experience, added Director of University Career Services Jay Killough. "Our primary focus is to assist in career development and education," he said.
The office provides an extensive list of online jobs and on-campus interviews, as well as career counseling for students to explore those factors that influence career decisions. Officials note that Texas Tech is dedicated to student success by preparing learners to be ethical leaders for a diverse and globally competitive workforce.
"This is a wonderful opportunity for students to visit with many employers at one time," Killough said, "and it's important for our students to make a professional first impression on prospective employers."
