GALLERY: Distinguished Alumni & Outstanding Young Alumni shine

Texas Tech University System Chancellor Robert Duncan welcomed friends, faculty and family members to the College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources' annual Distinguished Alumni & Outstanding Young Alumni Awards on Monday (Feb. 15) at the university's McKenzie-Merket Alumni Center. A CASNR graduate himself, Duncan pointed out the college's top-flight research efforts and its new plan to develop a veterinary school and veterinary medicine doctoral program in response to student demand and industry needs. Other speakers included Lawrence Schovanec, Texas Tech Provost and Senior Vice President, and Michael Galyean, CASNR Dean and the event's moderator. The evening was highlighted by presentation of awards, which went to Jody Bellah of Throckmorton, Berhl Robertson, Jr. of Lubbock, Frank Mitloehner of Woodland, California, Chad Davis of Lubbock, James Anderson of Reedsville, West Virginia, Scott Asher of Greensboro, North Carolina, and Matthew Schertz of Washington, D.C.
