The staff and faculty of Texas Tech's College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural
Resources had one of its hands-down best banquets on Thursday (Aug. 24) at the Department of Animal and Food Sciences livestock arena. The gastronomic highlight
of the 2017 CASNR Awards Dinner was a specially-smoked whole hog (pulled pork), which was accompanied by a tasty mix of spectacular ribs and tri tip from Red Raider
Meats. Besides the barbeque, the annual gathering honored nine faculty and staff members
for their service and support of CASNR. The award recipients included Darren Hudson, Venugopal Mendu, Scott Longing, Brad Johnson, Courtney Gibson, Lindsay Kennedy, David Weindorf, Pam Urnosky and Andrea Krieg.
