Fourteen standout students from Texas Tech's Department of Agricultural Education & Communications photographed the spring branding tradition of New Mexico's Wrye Ranch, located some 60 miles southeast of Albuquerque. Led by instructor Lindsay Kennedy, the class members spent three days based at the ranch's bunk houses and roamed across the high desert building on their photography portfolios. The trip to the Wrye Ranch was part of a two-week "maymester" course, ACOM 2303 Digital Imaging in Agriculture.

This was the second year the course has been offered during the quick summer semester, which puts students in an experiential, field-based classroom to learn photography. The students included Ariana Bigham, a graduate student from Prescott, Arizona; Maddi Busby, a junior from Boerne; Brooke Chilcutt, a junior from Weatherford; Emma Chachere, a junior from Dayton; Paisley Cooper, a senior from Klondike; Hannah Gray, a junior from Crowell; Lindsay Hamer, a senior from Saint Hedwig; Morgan Havelka, a junior from Robstown; Evan Johnson, a senior from Floydada; McKenna Johnson, a junior from Floydada; Madi McKay, a junior from Plainview; Lindsey Milner, a senior from Harper; Sterling Shrum, a junior from Boerne; and Keenan Schilling, a senior from Idalou.
