Some 690 students, friends, faculty and staff of Texas Tech's College of Agricultural
Sciences and Natural Resources were on hand last night (Nov. 9) for the 90th annual Pig Roast at the Lubbock Memorial Civic Center. The Pig Roast
celebrated scholarship donors, recipients and intercollegiate judging teams. In addition,
the program honored three standout leaders with Gerald W. Thomas Outstanding Agriculturalist
Awards. This year's recipients were Wayne Schilling for agribusiness; Dee Vaughan for agricultural production; and Tony Williams for public service.
