Agricultural Council: Sarah Moses named January 'Aggie of the Month'
By: Steeley Smith
Name: Sarah Moses; Major: Natural Resources Management; Classification: Senior; Organization: Ambassadors for Agriculture; Hometown: Pearsall, Texas; Month: January
Sarah Moses, a senior natural resource management major, has been named Texas Tech's College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources January Aggie of the Month.
"It was an honor to have been nominated for Aggie of the Month," Moses said. "Ag Council offers many different opportunities for all organizations to get involved and is comprised of enthusiastic and diligent students."
From the minute Moses walked onto campus, everyone was genuinely welcoming and interested in what she was looking for in a college, she said. Moses and her family were relieved that she had found her "home away from home," since Lubbock is a good ways away from Pearsall. Pearsall is located 55 miles southwest of San Antonio.
Choosing to become a part of the CASNR family was an easy decision for Moses. She said she's been able to work with dedicated, hardworking and intelligent people on a day to day basis. Although everyone here comes from a different background, it still feels like one big family.
After graduation, Moses's main goal is to work in environmental policy. She said CASNR opened up so many opportunities and paths, that she's still considering all of her options.
