Texas Tech University recognized 42 outstanding College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources faculty and staff members this month with recognition of their length of service to the university community. All recipients received a service pin.

One particular long-term recipient – John McGlone, a professor of swine, animal welfare and animal behavior with Tech's Department of Animal & Food Sciences – stood out among the CASNR crowd for three and a half decades of service to the Texas Tech community. Recent honors for McGlone include a CASNR Research Award (2019), President's Excellence in Commercialization Award (2019) and an American Veterinary Medical Association Humane Award (2015).

Other veterans of note were David Lawver, a professor in the Department of Agricultural Education & Communications, and J. Carlos Villalobos, an associate professor with the Department of Natural Resources Management, each with three decades of service.
