Texas Tech announces Davis College’s incoming First Year Terry Scholars

Officials at Texas Tech's Financial Aid and Scholarship Office have announced the names of students receiving the latest prestigious Terry Scholarships, including three from the Davis College of Agricultural Sciences & Natural Resources.
The Houston-based Terry Foundation scholarship program provides four-year scholarships for Texas residents attending Texas Tech and a dozen other universities in the state. Terry Scholars are selected from a highly competitive applicant pool of incoming first year students who demonstrate exceptional leadership, character, financial need and scholastic ability.
New recipients of the scholarships from Davis College this year are:
- Daniel Anderson, a first year student animal sciences major from El Paso
- Elizabeth Mosley, a first year student animal sciences major from Jacksboro
- Lily Russell, a first year student agriculture major from Lubbock
Previous Davis College recipients attending Texas Tech now are:
- Sydney Blackmon, a junior natural resources management major from Van
- Annie Braack, a senior natural resources management major from Pilot Point
- Kaden Bradley, a first year student natural resources management major from Corpus Christi
- Lindsay Dube, a senior agricultural communications major from Thorndale
- Riley McKinney, a sophomore animal sciences major from Brady
- Weston Reynolds, a senior agricultural and applied economics from Lufkin
- Presley Ridley, a senior agricultural and applied economics major from Wellington
- Kaden Watson, a sophomore animal sciences major from Wichita Falls
- Cade Zacharias, a senior agricultural and applied economics from Oglesby
The Terry Foundation was established in 1986 by Houstonians Howard and Nancy Terry from a desire to help young people help themselves. The foundation's goal is to strengthen the state of Texas by identifying, developing and supporting Texas high school graduates with high leadership potential and providing them with scholarships to attend participating universities.
