Davis College students featured in history-making spring commencement

More than 4,700 Texas Tech students, including 242 undergraduates from the Davis College
of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources, received diplomas at the university's
spring commencement ceremonies on Saturday (May 14) at the United Supermarkets Arena in Lubbock. It was the largest graduating class
in university history.
Separately, outstanding students carried banners representing their respective colleges.
Avery Schoenherr, a natural resources management major from Schertz, Texas represented Davis College.
Administrators selected the banner bearers based on all-around achievement.
In addition, Texas Tech officials recognized other Davis College highest-ranking spring graduates. They included:
- David Hemphill, an agricultural and applied economics major from Andrews, Texas
- Caleb Kunde, an animal science major from Seguin, Texas
- Ashley Peterson, an animal science major from Remington, Indiana
- Avery Schoenherr, a natural resources management major from Schertz, Texas
- Shae Lynn Sarchet, an animal science major from Lubbock, Texas
