Davis College students featured in summer commencement program

More than 1,000 Texas Tech students, including 77 undergraduates from the Davis College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources, received diplomas at the university's summer commencement ceremonies on Saturday (Aug. 6) at the United Supermarkets Arena in Lubbock.
Outstanding students from throughout the university carried banners representing their respective colleges during the program. Hunter Hudson, an agricultural & applied economics and general business dual major from Allen, Texas, represented Davis College. Administrators selected the banner bearers based on all-around achievement.
In addition, Texas Tech officials recognized the Davis College highest-ranking summer graduate, Logan Schlegel, an agricultural and applied economics major from Holliday, Texas.
Graduation undergraduate recipients from individual departments and majors included:
- Agribusiness: 6
- Agricultural & Applied Economics: 13
- Agricultural Communications: 11
- Agricultural Education: 1
- Animal Science: 25
- Conservation Law Enforcement: 1
- Landscape Architecture: 1
- Natural Resources Management: 10
- Plant & Soil Science: 9
