Ag Communications' James Brady named 2022 Homecoming King
By: Norman Martin
James Brady, an agricultural communications major from Lubbock, was crowned Texas Tech's 2022 homecoming king Saturday (Oct. 22) during the Texas Tech vs. West Virginia game at Jones AT&T Stadium.
“Winning homecoming king at Texas Tech is very special for me,” Brady said. “It's a great honor to represent my university in all facets where the homecoming king is involved. It was also very special to see my family – especially my grandfather, who came to Texas Tech in 1962 – watch me win as a third-generation Red Raider."
The student body voted for the winners after the homecoming court was announced Friday (Oct. 21) at Rowdy Raider Rally.
Davis College of Agricultural Sciences & Natural Resources was well represented within the homecoming court with king nominees Brady and Ty Mitchell, an animal science major from Albuquerque, New Mexico, along with queen nominees Carlye Winfrey, an agricultural communications major from Seminole, Texas, and Hannah Jones, an agricultural and applied economics major from Hondo, Texas.
