
Vinicius Machado, an assistant professor within Texas Tech's Department of Veterinary Sciences, joined
the Texas Tech faculty in 2017. His research broadly focuses on a variety of areas
related to dairy health, such as postpartum uterine health, transition period management
and immunity.
Machado received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the Federal University of
Goias in Brazil, and did a fellowship post-DVM at Cornell University's Department
of Population Medicine and Diagnostic Sciences. He received his doctorate in animal
sciences from Cornell, and did a residency in ambulatory and production medicine in
Cornell's College of Veterinary Medicine.
