Tracee Murph, Assistant Director of Alumni Relations within Texas Tech's Davis College of Agricultural Sciences & Natural Resources, has been re-appointed to a one-year term on the National Agricultural Alumni & Development Association's Board of Directors, officials announced today (July 11). 

Previously serving as the chair of the Publications and Projects Committee, Murph will serve as the Communications and Marketing Committee Chair and be responsible for providing guidance on marketing initiatives and materials used to promote the organization to various stakeholders including current members, prospective members, and sponsors.

“I'm pleased to announce that Tracee Murph is returning to the NAADA Board of Directors,” said NAADA President Jordan Moseley. “I look forward to partnering with our board members as they include a diverse representation of individuals from all over the country.” 

This diversity is vital to our organization enhancing mission-critical solutions to better serve NAADA and its universities as NAADA provides education, support and recognition for professionals and volunteers dedicated to expanding resources for advancing agriculture and related disciplines through land-grant and other colleges of agricultural sciences and partner programs, he said.

Murph's term of service began July 1 with that of more than 20 other board members from across the United States, following NAADA's 48th Annual Conference. A NAADA member since 2011, Murph joined the organization's Publications & Projects Committee in 2012. She also served on NAADA's Education Committee & Re-branding Ad Hoc Committee. 

Murph joined Davis College in 2005 as a student and went on to become a senior business assistant in the college's Development & Alumni Relations Office in 2010 and was named Coordinator of Alumni Relations in 2011. She received a bachelor's degree in agricultural communications with a minor in animal science from Texas Tech. In addition, she was awarded a certificate in equine science.

Since becoming a member institution in the 1990s, Tech's Davis College has won several NAADA Publications and Projects awards, including honors for the college's Landmarks and The Agriculturalist magazines. CASNR hosted the organization's annual conference in 2011. NAADA provides education and support for professionals, volunteers and student leaders who are dedicated to serving land-grant colleges of agricultural sciences and related programs. The network of members includes institutions from all across the United States.
