Sulphur Springs-based banking executive and graduate of Texas Tech's Department of Agricultural Education & Communications (1977), Tom Sellers has been honored with this year's Independent Bankers Association of Texas' Excellence in Leadership Award. The recognition was presented at the IBAT's 49th Annual Conference in Frisco, Texas.

According to the Bankers Digest website, Sellers currently serves as Chairman of the Board at Alliance Bank in Sulphur Springs (pop. 15,900), the county seat of Hopkins County located some 80 miles east of Dallas.
