“Mr. Beyer has long served the industry and represents the best of Davis College. We’re proud to see our graduates continue to take key leadership roles and having important impacts at the national level,” he said.

According to a Cotton Incorporated news announcement, Beyer has served as an officer on Cotton Incorporated’s Board since 2019 in the following roles: Vice Chairman (2023-2024); Secretary (2021-2022); and Treasurer (2019-2020). In addition, he was on the Cotton Incorporated Research & Development Committee (2016-2017) and on various other committees since 2007.

“Marvin embodies the commitment and vision that defines Cotton Incorporated,” said Cotton Incorporated CEO William Kimbrell in the online news release. “His extensive industry experience and forward-thinking leadership make him well-suited to help guide our organization as we encounter market challenges and opportunities.”

Beyer has deep roots in agriculture that span multiple generations. Following graduation with a bachelor’s degree in agricultural engineering from Texas Tech, he partnered with his father and brother to establish Beyer Brothers Farm. He has served in leadership roles for the South Texas Cotton & Grain Association, San Patricio County Farm Bureau, Coastal Ag Coop, and Gulf Compress.

“Cotton is more than a crop, it’s a cornerstone of livelihoods, innovation, and sustainability for communities across the country and the world,” Beyer said. “I look forward to working in this role to support cotton’s growth and advancement.”

Beyer’s new leadership post extends to national levels including his current role as cooperative delegate member for the National Cotton Council and as a member of the Lubbock-based Plains Cotton Cooperative Association Board of Directors.
