Three students from Texas Techs Davis College of Agricultural Sciences & Natural Resources have been selected to spend the summer as congressional interns in Washington, D.C.
The competitive program, which runs from May through August, offers participants a front-row seat to the inner workings of the federal government. The students will gain firsthand experience in legislative operations, policy discussions, and constituent services.
“Intern selections are always an exciting and difficult process,” said Haley Hudson, program manager for academic and student programs at Davis College. “This is one of the most unique opportunities available to our students.”
This summers Davis College Washington, D.C.-based fall interns include:
- Cade Haggard, an animal science major from Buckeye, Arizona (USDA White House Liaisons Office)
- Ashlyn Rockey, an agricultural education major from Monte Vista, Colorado (U.S. Rep. Jeff Crank | R-CO-05)
- Ashlynn Rogers, an agricultural education major from Brock, Texas (U.S. Rep. Tony Gonzales | R-TX-23)
