Family and Consumer Sciences Education

Undergraduate Programs

Students may earn a Family and Consumer Sciences Composite Certificate by completing one of the following undergraduate degree programs:

• Bachelor of Science in Family and Consumer Sciences/Teacher Certification
• Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Studies/Teacher Certification

Students may earn a Family and Consumer Sciences Specialized Certificate in Hospitality, Nutrition and Food Science by completing one of the following undergraduate degree programs:

• Bachelor of Science in Food and Nutrition/Teacher Certification
• Bachelor of Science in Restaurant/Hotel and Institutional Management/Teacher Certification

All Texas Tech teacher certification programs are approved by the State Board for Educator Certification and accredited by the National Council for the Accreditation of Teacher Education.
